Teamwork
Someone once said that it is through
cooperation, rather than conflict, that the greatest successes will be
realized.
I strongly believe that the key to improving the appraisal
profession is by working with, not against, others in the real estate
industry.
Earlier this month in Denver, I once again had the privilege to
collaborate with those who are not only the best in their fields, but
who are also committed to improving our industry through hard work and
communication with others.
I have learned much from these dedicated and ethical professionals, and
I believe that they too have received beneficial insight into the
unique problems faced by our industry. There is always more than
one way to tackle a problem, the challenge is to be open minded enough
to consider new solutions.
I am honored to be associated with such professionals who unselfishly
contribute their valuable time to reach out to educate and communicate
with others, and I deeply admire the appraisers, Realtors, bankers,
educators, and title companies who have taken the initiative to join
forces with those outside of their specific professions.
Tentatively, I am looking forward to working with the Colorado
Association of Realtors at their annual convention this year. It
will be an unprecedented
event of disciplines working together.
It is amazing how much can be accomplished with teamwork.
