Ivor Hill Appointed to Colorado
Attorney General's Mortgage and Foreclosure Task Force
I am very pleased to have been named to the Colorado Attorney General’s
Mortgage and Foreclosure Fraud Task Force and feel fortunate to
participate in this important program.
The Task Force has been designed to prevent Colorado consumers from
falling victim to what Attorney General Suthers has acknowledged is a
growing wave of consumer fraud.
“Too many Coloradans are losing their primary financial asset because
of the growing industry of mortgage and foreclosure scams,” said
Suthers. “This Task Force will help those on the front lines deter
these scams and assist the public with complaints.”
The Task Force is comprised of public trustees, district attorneys, law
enforcement and county clerk and recorders from across Colorado.
As the only appraiser on the Task Force, I look forward to contributing
a unique perspective that will represent the views of one who, on a
daily basis, experiences pressure to ‘hit the right numbers’ and sees
the effects of fraud on both consumers and lenders alike.
As always, I am interested in your comments and viewpoints on all
matters that affect our industry. Only by honest professionals
working together can positive changes be made to better our businesses,
our economy, and our communities.
