
Ivor J. Hill
Named Fellow of the
Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors
Certified General Appraiser Ivor J. Hill has
been accepted as a Fellow of
the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, earning
the FRICS designation.
The
Royal Institution of Chartered
Surveyors
(RICS) is the leading source of land, property, construction
and related
environmental knowledge representing
and regulating property professionals and surveyors of all types. The
institution originated in and is based in the United Kingdom but has a
worldwide
membership of over 130,000 in more than 100 countries. The
RICS promotes best practices,
represents consumers’ interests and provides impartial advice to
society,
businesses, governments and global organizations.
The
Institution was founded in London
in 1868 as the "Institution of Surveyors" and has occupied headquarters
on the corner of Great
George Street and Parliament Square since that
date. The
Institution received its Royal Charter in 1881 from Queen Victoria
becoming the "Institution of
Chartered Surveyors" in 1930 and in 1946 the Institution became a royal
institution.
Hill is a member of the Colorado Attorney
General’s Mortgage Fraud and
Foreclosure Task Force, a Charter Member of the National Community
Reinvestment
Coalition’s Center for Responsible Appraisals and Valuations, a Fellow
of the
National Association of Estate Agents, and an Associate of the
Chartered
Institute of Marketing. He has been
appraising internationally for over twelve years and also has extensive
experience in surveying, marketing and business management.
Hill holds a Bachelor of Arts degree honours,
in business studies from the University
of Northumbria
and a postgraduate degree in property valuation and management from Sheffield Hallam University, United Kingdom.
The FRICS designation, the most prestigious
category of RICS membership, is
awarded in recognition of an individual’s achievements, including
following a
strict code of conduct and upholding the highest standards of education
and
professional training.
